2022 Cast Winery Estate Zinfandel

100% certified organic Zinfandel from Cast’s 6 acre estate vineyard on Dry Creek Road in Geyserville. No oak stats available, but there’s plenty here. Native yeast fermentations. 14.5% alcohol. 428 cases made.  This wine is full bodied and fruit driven but elegant with concentrated red and black fruit notes, clove, vanilla, black cherry, and soft raspberry coulis. The palate is deeply concentrated with tons of fresh fruit notes on the front palate and some lingering tannins on the mid and back palate. This is a wine to drink now with food or hold on to for aging. Founded in 2012 by Jack and Ann Seifrick of Dallas and a collection of like-minded wine loving families, Cast makes 4,000 cases of wine annually . Winemaker Ashley Herzberg has worked with legendary California winemakers like Merry Edwards, Greg Lafollette, Anthony Austin and Scot Covington.
