60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 12 months in 70% new French oak, from 15 different forests. 14.5% alcohol. It pours a deep and intense color, a testament to the estate’s 50+ year-old vines nurtured by limestone soils. On the nose, the richness of Merlot is beautifully complemented by the extravagance of Cabernet Franc, developing subtle notes of cassis and violet after aeration. The palate bursts with silky, round red and black fruits, while the finish is dominated by black fruit and barely perceptible rounded tannins. This vintage is characterized by freshness, complexity, and power. Drink now or age for another 10-15 years.
