100% certified organic and biodynamic Malbec from 50 year old vines on the third terrace of the Vallée du Lot, sitting on a bed of a rich clay, iron and limestone soil. Fermented in concrete and aged for 10 months in old 225L barrels. 13.5% alcohol. 6,000 bottles made. Vinified with minimal intervention to highlight the purity of fruit and the character of the terroir. The result is a wine of striking balance — combining ripe black fruits, floral violet notes, and subtle oak spice with firm yet refined tannins. More structured and age-worthy than its playful siblings, LA-O is concentrated and polished, yet retaining freshness and lift. It’s a wine for the dinner table — pairing beautifully with hearty autumn dishes — and one that will reward both immediate enjoyment and a few years of patience in the cellar.
92 points, Wine Enthusiast. "Black-fruit aromas and a touch of mushroom come from this wine. Vines planted and harvested by hand on land belonging to the producer's mother have produced balanced black fruits and ripe acidity. It is a rich wine, still developing. Drink from 2027. Organic."
