100% biodynamic Pinot Gris. Hand harvested, fermented with native yeasts, and aged in large old neutral foudre. Half of the fruit here is coming from the famous Grand Cru vineyard Brand, where Boxler, Josmeyer and Zind-Humbrecht are neighbors. This is a fresh, round, serious version of Pinot Gris. Citrus, mango, lychee and ripe peach fruit alongside notes of honey, florals and spice. It’s a little off-dry, but not sweet, and the acidity keeps everything feeling clean and fresh. Round, soft and almost oily on the palate. There’s a little note of vanilla bean and hazelnut on the finish. Very food friendly! The Baur family has been farming in Turckheim, near Colmar, since 1741 and now cultivate 31 acres of vines.
