100% Sauvignon Blanc from the famous siliceous clay, Kimmerigian marl, and limestone soils of Loges in Pouilly-Fumé. Farmed without the use of chemicals. All stainless steel with long lees aging. This is a clean, fresh, light version of Sauvignon Blanc, with aromas of crisp green apples, zesty lime, and juicy pear mingling with delicate floral notes and the characteristic flinty, almost smokey wet-stone minerality. Mostly round and smooth on the palate with just a hint of grapefruit pith bitterness underneath. Acidity is crisp and refreshing but balanced and not too zingy. Made for oysters, Caesar salad, or as an aperitif. The Marchand family can trace their winegrowing history in Loges back to 1650. In addition to vine-growing, the Marchand family assumed the double task to be a bargeman of Loire. “Kerots” or Querots – the name given to bargeman, became the nickname of the family
