A blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre in that order all farmed organically on 11 acres of estate vines. Hand picked, destemmed, and fermented with native yeasts. Everything is done in tank. The Grenache and Cinsault--the grapes with the least color--along with the Mourvèdre are pressed directly, while the deeper colored Syrah is worked in a saignée method (which also gives more texture and aromatic complexity). This is a rosé with a beguiling pale color that belies its breadth and richness, and it’s a rosé that works at the table every bit as well as it does on the porch. Medium bodied, fresh and fruity, with glistening citrus and watermelon fruit on show, with grapefruit and tangerine under the juicy notes of wild strawberry and thyme. In the mouth it’s taut and mouthwatering.
