2022 Perrucci Family Red Blend 'Dentiviola'

55% Petit Sirah, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.5% Malbec, and 2.5% Syrah.  The Petite Sirah comes from the Klein Vineyard on Monte Bello Ridge (now farmed by Ridge Vineyards) with the Cab and Malbec from the Perrucci estate and Syrah from Top of the Hill. Aged for 2.5 years in new American oak. 14.4% alcohol. Full bodied, rich, dark and inky, with plenty of toasty but very well integrated oak notes to its ripe dark fruits. Although there’s serious ripeness and tons of fruit flavors, the wine doesn’t feel hot or jammy at all.  Full of dark chocolate, ganache, black cherry, blackberry, and strawberry jam with a rich, long finish. The Perrucci Family has been making wine in the Los Gatos foothills since 2003, with Alec Perrucci currently in charge of winemaking.
