50% Grenache Blanc, 25% Picpoul Blanc, 19% Roussanne and 6% Muscat Canelli; all farmed organically on the Adelaida estate in west Paso. Elevations range from 1400-2050 ft, and soils are primarily limestone. Aged in 17% new French oak for 9 months. 14.1% alcohol. 898 cases made. High toned and fairly delicate on the nose, with chalk-accented lime, lemon and apricot fruit. Medium full bodied and smooth, with perfectly integrated barrel spice and high, zesty, lingering acidity that produces a nice cooling sensation in the mouth. Incredibly balanced. For fans of white Burgundy and of course, white Rhône wines. Pair with seafood, poultry, and richer dishes like roasted vegetables and fruit-based sauces. Drink now and over the next four-five years.
94 points, Vinous Media. "The 2023 Anna's Estate White opens with a seductive buoquet of honeyed flowers, candied citrus and wet stones. It is soothingly round and supple, with ripe orchard fruits further enhanced by a wave of cooling acidity. Perfumed and long, the 2023 finishes with exceptional length and leaves an enriching air of almond custard."
