100% organic Pinot noir, fermented on native yeast with 50% whole clusters and aged in all neutral oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal effective sulfur. Volkmann Vineyard is owned by Tim and Peggy Volkmann and is nestled just north of the city of Santa Cruz near Branciforte Creek. Light in body and bright in fruit, with tart red cranberry, strawberry and raspberry flavors underpinned by some rustic woodsiness and a distinct but pleasing minty eucalpytus note, brought on by a grove of eucalyptus trees next to the vineyard. Light tannins and brisk acidity make this a joy to drink with food or by itself. Definitely one fo the most popular Pinots we’ve ever carried! 13.4% alcohol.
