100% Sauvignon Blanc from selected parcels on south-facing slopes in Verdigny, including old vine plantings at legendary sites such as Les Monts Damnés, Les Bois Butteux, and La Perriere. Fermented and aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with a small percentage of the cuvée aged in well-seasoned, oversized oak barrels. This touch gives the wine a bit more complexity without tasting oaky. The wine sees no malolactic fermentation and thus retains freshness and vibrancy beneath plenty of forward, ripe fruit. Vibrant, aromatic and complex, with classic Sancerre notes of ripe pear, honeycrisp apple, lemongrass and zesty citrus. Medium bodied and elegant, with tons of chalky minerality laced through the long, long finish. Excellent stuff from one of our favorite Sancerre producers.
