50% Grenache, 35% Syrah and 15% Mourvèdre; sustainably farmed and hand picked from the Baby Rattlesnake estate vineyard, located at 2,400’ elevation. 100% free-run juice. Aged for 11 months in 30% new French oak. 120 cases made. 13.5% alcohol. The cool 2023 vintage has done wonders for this wine, which shows dark blue fruits with hints of cherry and raspberry, seasoned with herbs, plum and anise. Medium to medium-full bodied and wonderfully balanced. Owner/winegrower Robert Jones is the third generation of his family to grow wine grapes. Achieving success in the late 1980s tech industry, Jones purchased vineyard property in El Dorado County near road E16 to recreate his grandfather’s tradition.
