100% Carignane from the famous Evangelho Vineyard, a 135 year old piece of California wine history. Native yeast fermentation, aged in steel and neutral barrel. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with very low sulphur. 13% alcohol. 100 cases made. Enchanting nose with hints of ripe red and golden raspberries, along with notes of redwood forest and mossy rock. On the palate, you’ll find mouthwatering red fruits like Rainier cherry, cranberry, and pomegranate, all woven together with a touch of spruce. The wine is medium-bodied, with a long, fruit-forward finish and refreshing tannins. Decant for an hour to enjoy this now- it was better for us on the second day open. These wines are small production and highly sought after- we’ll drink anything Hardy makes!
