100% Sauvignon Blanc. Direct pressed and vinified simply in stainless steel. Fermentation in stainless steel occurs first at 18-20°C during the first third of the fermentation, and then adjusted to 13-14°C
This is a smooth, round, silky rendition of Sauvignon Blanc that falls just on the lighter side of medium bodied. Lemon, tart apricot, peach all make an appearance against a lightly floral and mineral backdrop. Fruity but dry, with no grassiness or green notes.
La Camensarde is a collaborative négociant project of several growers in the village of Bué, Sancerre. These vignerons have partnered to produce a classic example of Sancerre blanc and IGP Loire Valley Sauvignon. Bué lies southwest of the village of Sancerre itself, no more than a few minutes away by car. Residing on the left bank of the Loire river, it is here that you’ll find some of the Sancerre appellation’s most famous and familiar names, including Massanois’ own Jean-Max Roger, Lucien Crochet, Morin, and Pinard.
