100% sustainable Chardonnay from 20 acres of 25 vines on limestone. Fermented and aged in stainless steel. Full malolactic fermentation. Classic, balanced Chablis at a relatively affordable price. This Chardonnay uses no oak, resulting in a focused and linear wine. Steel ageing results in a very pure expression of terroir. The nose is fresh and mineral, with grassy and citrus notes. On the palate there is a textural richness, which is balanced by citrusy acidity and savory minerality. Notes of green apple, lemon, wet stone and minerals are wrapped up in a bone dry, medium body with high acidity. Domaine Denis Race is a small, family run winery in Chablis. Claire Race, the current winemaker, represents the fifth generation winemaker of this esteemed family-run estate in Chablis, which has roots in Chablis going back to the 18th century. Total production is about 7,500 cases annually.
