100% certified organic Grechetto from estate vineyards in the Colle Ozio area. Fermented with native yeasts and aged on the fine lees for 6 months in stainless steel. 12.5% alcohol. Intensely aromatic, this wine opens with notes of lemon peel, mandarin orange, citrus blossom and river stone. The textured palate shows baked citrus and orchard fruits with hints of sweet spices and dried flowers finishing with a persistent minerality. Lively and bracing with zesty notes of lemongrass and spearmint that complement a dish of cauliflower, anchovies, capers and calabrian chili flakes far better than a Pinot Gris ever could. For over 25 years, Leonardo Bussoletti has been growing and nurturing the classic native grape varieties of Umbria: Ciliegiolo, Grechetto, Trebbiano Spoletino and several different Malvasias.
