100% Pinot Noir from the famous Bien Nacido Vineyard and the North Canyon Vineyard, which is right next door. It was 95% destemmed prior to fermenting in open top tanks using native yeast. After pressing, this wine aged in 25% new French oak barrels for 12 months. 12.8% alcohol. 400 cases made. The winemaker here is Michael Brughelli, who previously made wine for Ken Volk and founded Scar of the Sea. He’s known for his eponymous label, which gets massive reviews and huge (over $200!) price tags.
92 points, Wine Enthusiast. "A lighter hue in the glass, this bottling shows aromas of cranberry, smashed rocks and light chaparral spice on the nose. The palate presents a similar array of red fruit, herb and earth, with a lemon peel flavor adding sharpness."
