100% organic (uncertified) Pinot Noir from various vineyards in Deidesheim and Ruppertsberg. Fermented with native yeasts and aged simply in stainless steel. Pumping the juice or wine is never necessary in the gravity flow winery, allowing for minimal, and gentle vinification. 12% alcohol. Dry, crisp, light-bodied, and fruity, with sun-kissed notes of wild strawberry, pink grapefruit, red currant, and a hint of crushed herbs. There’s plenty of cool-climate acidity and minerality here as well. Excellent as an aperitif or with sushi and seafood dishes. Winemaker/owner Stephan Attmannmakes some of Germany’s best dry wines, and follows the Burgundian approach in the vineyard, with extremely high vine density, creating competition and reducing yields. von Winning maintains some of the oldest parcels in Grosses Gewächs vineyards in these villages.
