100% Moscato Bianco, hand harvested from vines up to 50 years old. The grapes are allowed to ferment very slowly at low temperatures until the juice reaches about 5% alcohol, at which time the wine is super chilled and the yeast is filtered out to stop fermentation and keep some natural grape sugar in the slightly fizzy wine. Residual sugar ends up being 13 g/L. This is a delicious Moscato that is fun and approachable, with low alcohol, delicate sweetness, and mellow bubbles. It explodes out of the glass with ripe peach, guava, pineapple, honeysuckle and orange blossom aromas. Light in body and easy to crush- perfect as an aperitif but also as an accompaniment to any fruit or pastry based dessert. Cascina Guido Berta is a family-owned estate in San Marzano Oliveto. In 1997, at the age of 25, Guido Berta decided to follow in the footsteps of his father and returned to the family farm.
92 points, Wine Enthusiast. "Tropical party in full swing as guava and pineapple dance with peach and exotic flowers. The palate pops with fresh fruit energy while bright acidity keeps the festivities rolling. This is summer in a glass celebrating with pure joyful abandon."
