100% Dolcetto from the Vigna Pari vineyard in Serralunga d’Alba. Vines average 25-30 years old and are cultivated using traditional methods without herbicides or pesticides. Fermentation occurs in glass-lined concrete vats with indigenous yeasts, involving 7-8 days of skin contact with daily pump-overs. Aged simply in stainless steel. 13.5% alcohol. This is prime Barolo territory, and its a sign of Guido’s love for the Dolcetto grape that he grows it here instead of the more profitable Nebbiolo. The excellent location gives this wine a little more structure and heft than you find in Dolcetti from other parts of the Langhe. Medium bodied, very fresh, round and soft. Evoking blackberries, earth, and stones, this red offers a great match for mushroom risotto or your favorite stew.
