2024 Neely Pinot Noir 'Hidden Block'

100% Pinot Noir (Dijon clone 115); vines planted in 1997. Fermented in stainless steel; aged 10 months in 20% new French oak. 12.7% alcohol. 151 cases made. Set across 240 acres with just 16 acres planted close to the town of Portola Valley, the Neely family has owned this place since 1995, their Spring Ridge Vineyard originally planted in 1980 by the Varner brothers to Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer. 2024 was the first full vintage for new winemaker Sarah Green, formerly of FEL  and Savoy Vineyard. 

94 points, Jeb Dunnuck. "Textured, tight, and completely destemmed, it has a matchsticky quality beneath a medium-bodied layering of strawberry fruit, somewhat resinous on the back of the palate with supple tannins and nicely interwoven oak. Drink now through 2034."
