100% organic (uncertified) Pinot Noir sourced from eight vineyards in the Willamette Valley, including Chehalem Mountain and Freedom Hill. Tons of old vines, with 40+ year old vines making up over half of the blend. Various amounts of stem inclusion depending on the site. Aged for 15 months in 1/3 new oak, with the rest being neutral. 13.5% alcohol. 4,368 cases made. This is red-fruited, highly perfumed, nicely floral and spicy Pinot Noir with the sort of high-level texture, intensity and length that are normally found in wines of double the price and more. Medium bodied, vibrant and energetic, with plush, ripe tannins, balanced acidity, and a light savory finish with delicate notes of tea leaf. This is utterly delicious now but will be a rare bottling at this level that would age easily for over a decade. Excellent for the price.
