100% organic Greco, one of the many members of the Greco Group and distinct from the more common Greco grown in Campania. According to some research, this is actually the same grape known as Malvasia di Lipari. Gentle pressing, fermentation with native yeasts. Aged in steel on the lees with battonage for five months. 13% alcohol. Pours a brilliant golden color with notes of pear, kiwi, lemon and slightly bruised apple alongside wild herbs, florals and delicate honey notes. Medium bodied and dry, with some roundness to the mouthfeel and plenty of acidity. Pair this with fried fish (frittura mista), fish & chips, or grilled branzino. Caprese salad, citrus-dressed greens, and fresh, young cheeses like mozzarella or ricotta would also delight. Christian Vumbaca is the winemaker for this 15 acre estate, founded in 1984 by his parents.
