44% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 11% Pinot Meunier, 3% Pinot Blanc, 2% Early Pinot Noir from vineyards in Kent, Sussex and Essex. Cool fermentation in stainless steel was followed by full malolactic fermentation. Maturation on fine lees in tank for six months before bottling and average 18 months further aging on lees in bottle. The dosage is 8 grams per liter. A delicate pale peach in color, this elegant rosé has aromas of fresh strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants with background notes of toasty shortbread. Dry but not bone dry, medium bodied, fruity, crisp and fresh. Perfectly balanced acidity with a very Champenoise mousse. Wonderful as an aperitif.
