50% Chardonnay & 50% Pinot Noir from estate-owned plots in the village of Bligny on Kimmeridgian limestone with steep slopes. Two years on lees. 10 g/L dosage. In the glass, the wine shows a straw-yellow color with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose opens with autumnal notes that evolve into yellow stone fruits—nectarine and brugnon—alongside a subtle creamy richness. On the palate, the texture is broad and fleshy, with ripe yellow fruit supported by natural richness and balance. The finish is long and expressive, marked by gentle spice and a finely tuned line of acidity that keeps everything fresh and composed. What truly sets Château de Bligny apart is its location. Rather than sitting in the “headline” areas of Champagne, the estate is based in the Côte des Bar, the southernmost sub-region of Champagne.
