How cool is this?? “Le Goût d’Autrefois”translates to “the taste of the past.” Limé is an old-school French aperitif that was the drink of choice in the cafés of South-West France and the brasseries of Paris. Made with base of rosé wine (mostly Merlot) from the Entre-deux-Mers region, with a careful blend of natural red fruit aromas, and a touch of carbon dioxide added at bottling to give it a fizz. Low alcohol at 8% abv. Only 40,000 bottles are made.
Joyful, fizzy, refreshing, aromatic, low alcohol and sweet, this is a really fun and gulpable wine. Citrus, strawberry, lime- like an Italian soda! Serve it well chilled as an aperitif or with cold salads, spicy dishes and light desserts (red fruits salad, mint and whipped cream).
Since 1858, the Ducourt family has thrived at Château des Combes in Ladaux, Bordeaux. Multiple generations upheld a philosophy of maximizing terroir potential through traditional wisdom and modern techniques, crafting authentic and affordable pleasure wines. They prioritize environmental respect and customer satisfaction throughout their 1200 acres across 14 châteaux in Entre-Deux-Mers and Saint-Emilion. These estates produce 2.5 million bottles a year. This project is a collaboration with Jean Pierre Xiradakis, the owner of the renowned restaurant La Tupina in Bordeaux.
