80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay from 37 acres of estate vines in Bouzy. For nearly 300 years, the Vesselle family has been tilling the chalky soils of Bouzy and cultivating some of the village’s best-placed Pinot Noir vines. Sustainable (uncertified) farming. Soils are the classic, chalky terroir of the Montagne de Reims. Hand-harvested. Fermented on native yeasts in temperature-controlled, stainless steel tanks. Aged for two years on the lees. Dosage 11 grams/L. All that experience results in an extremely elegant, balanced champagne which boasts deep, slightly spicy cherry and raspberry flavors together with the citrus, green apple, and wildflowers, followed by cream, almond, brioche, and toast on the finish.
